Tokyo Olympics: Enoch Adegoke pull out of 100m final due to injury

Nigeria’s medal hopeful, Enoch Adegoke failed to win gold in the men’s 100m, as he pulled his hamstring after 30m and was unable to finsh the race.

Italian Marcell Jacobs wins gold with a time of 9.80s, with American Fred Kerley & Canadian Andre de Grasse winning Silver & Bronze respectively.

Adegoke becomes Team Nigeria’s first finalist in the men’s 100m event since the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Nigeria has not been represented in the men’s sprint final at the games since Davidson Ezinwa achieved the feat in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
