Police Arrests Money Ritual Prophet, Onyeze Jesus in Anambra

The controversial pastor that claims to have the powers to make people rich, Mr Onyebuchi Okocha, popularly known as ‘Onyeze Jesus’, has been arrested by the operatives of Anambra state Police Command.

“The Founder of Children of Light Anointing Ministries, Nkpor, Idemili North local government area of the state is in police custody.

“Onyeze was arrested on Wednesday, 27th January 2021, and will likely be arraigned for various offences on Thursday, 28th January, 2021,” sources said.

Campaign Pilot on January 25, reported a purported clamp down on fake pastors and religious leaders by the Anambra State Government over criminal and indecent conduct in the name of religion in the state.

The state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba in a statement, said that the state is in possession of some videos produced by one person who goes by the name of Onyeze Jesus based in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, where he not only claims to change the economic status of his adherents by magical means but also throws a lot of Nigeria’s currency notes into the river and compels his adult followers, both male and female, to bath naked in the river and records them on video which he distributes gleefully to all manner of people through the Internet and other means.

Onyeze Jesus in a viral video performed a ritual with N50 notes which he threw into the river as his clients which include both men and women bathed naked in the river.

The prophet who asked his clients not to look back in the video, prayed for them to have money.

However, the Anambra state Ministry of Health in a statement on Wednesday, 27th January, 2021 through the Permanent secretary, Nwankwo Nwabueze Linus, warned hospitals and mortuaries operating in the state against allowing ‘Onyeze Jesus’ access to their facilities to carry out his widely publicised claim, and planned ‘magic’ that he would raise 7 corpses from the dead on the 28th of January, 2021.
