The novel coronavirus continues its spike as the number of new infections continue to rise across the country in the latest report.
Kaduna’s tally made it the second most-prolific virus state on Friday, just behind Lagos state, the country’s epicentre of the global pandemic.
In an early-morning tweet on Saturday, the Nigeria Centre of Disease Control said 24 states across the country reported a total of new 2314 cases on Friday, 118,969 total confirmed cases, 94,877 discharged and 1,497 deaths.
The breakdown of the virus distribution by States showed that Lagos recorded 831 new cases ahead of Kaduna with 545.
More than 98,835,610 cases of coronavirus have been registered globally, 71,047,103 recoveries and 2,118,450 deaths.
