President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday met with the leaders of the National Assembly over the ongoing protests against the scrapped Special Anti-Robbery Unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this via his Twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad.
He said, “after meeting with President Buhari, Senate President, Ahmad Lawn and Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, they appealed to Nigerian youth to end the #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY protests across the country as the government heard and accepted their genuine demands and working to address all of them”.
Those that attended the meeting inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja with the President are the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan; and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
