Former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Monday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Okonjo-Iweala is vying for the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation.
She is accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Zubair Dada; and the Minister of State, Industry Trade and Investment, Maryam Katagun, and they are currently in a meeting with President Buhari.
Okonjo-Iweala, 66, made it to the final two selection to the WTO top job along with South Korea’s Yoo Myung-hee.
If Okonjo-Iweala wins, she would become the first African to lead the global trade body in its 25-year history.
